Chris Jackson - Prinicpal
Before
re-forming Beatscape, Chris worked closely with principles of SonicFusion to identify emerging music-based marketing opportunities,
quantifying and presenting to clients adding value to existing services and creating additional revenue streams for company.
In addition, he assisted clients with all aspects of their musical needs within various productions including films, television
shows and video games. This included working closely with clients to identify particular musical needs, identifying and licensing
master and synchronization rights for all music used in the production, as well as coordinating songwriter or "work for hire"
deals and production agreements for original or re-recorded material created specifically for the production.
Prior
to joining SonicFusion, Chris founded RightSpring Inc., which developed software applications providing management and administration
tools to music publishers and record labels. Chris founded Beatscape, the predecessor company to RightSpring, as a result
of his entrepreneurial experience using the Internet to develop innovative business models in the music industry.
As
General Manager at world-music label Baba Records, Mr. Jackson led efforts at the company to take full advantage of the Internet,
booking some of the earliest shows at Pseudo.com and developing new ways of marketing independent artists to advertising agencies. Preceding that position, Mr. Jackson worked in the Artists and Repertoire division
of Warner Bros. Records where he also supervised music for independent films, and founded his own label, Matrix Records. Mr. Jackson earned his AB in History from Occidental College where he managed all
entertainment booking for the college.
